J.T. Sumner

1st Assistant Camera

A graduate of University of Wisconsin with a BA in Communications, J.T. currently resides in Nashville, TN working in the film industry as a 1st Assistant Camera and has started his own photography business.

“I love my job. It’s definitely not the same thing day after day. Sure, you have some projects that you work on that pay the bills, but then there are ones that you’re involved with, that you really become part of, it brings out your best, day after day. After working so hard on something a group of people have brought to life, and then you see something like that up on the big screen, it’s really an amazing feeling. I’ve met and worked with great creative people, and all of their personalities and backgrounds are so vast… I really can’t see myself doing anything else.”
