Bart Mangrum

Production Designer

A production designer on films with strong, relatable stories, Bart Mangrum visually communicates the backstory. Recently, he was the production designer on Michael Tully’s SEPTIEN, Harmony Korine’s short UMSHINI WAM, as well as on Brent Stewart’s award-winning film, THE COLONEL’S BRIDE.

On top of his feature film work, Mangrum has been the production designer or art director on over 50 music videos, 15 of which have been in the top 10. His work on documentaries includes co-producer/cinematographer of PROPHETS RISING and a cinematographer on SOUTHERN BELLE. Mangrum has been the on set dresser for studio films such as COUNTRY STRONG (Screen Gems), WATER FOR ELEPHANTS (20th Century Fox), and BLACK, WHITE and BLUES, and works on community outreach films with the Oasis Center in Nashville, TN. He’s an organic farmer and solar power generator and maintains a studio in downtown Nashville as a longstanding member of Art at the Arcade.
